On The Wings of Destiny

Somehow destiny comes into play. These children end up with you and you end up with them. We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands.

Our family gets to see Leah Grace

We did the same thing when we got Jenna's refferal and loved it so we did it again. We gather our family all together both my side and Scott's side. We give them a gift bag with the picture in it and everyone pulls the picture out at the same time. We get to watch everyone's expressions. This way no one can say the other family members got to see first, cuts down on hurt feelings, and makes it more exciting. We have cake and just make a big celebration out of it. We can't show you all the picture, but here are a few.

A Match Made In Heaven

We got the call! Yesterday around 10:15, was not thinking we would get matched this month. I knew the list had came out but wasn't counting on a call and with all that had been going on this month thought maybe it wasn't the best timing anyways. Well God thought other wise and wanted us to end this month on a happier note.
I can give you a little information about her right now, but can't post her picture up on the blog or facebook until we get the ok from China.
She is 18 months old! She will be 2 years old in November. She has short hair, big eyes, pouty lips, long toes and likes to suck her fingers.
She has a heart condition, but we have talked to Jenna's cardiologist and he gives his two thumbs up on her.
We are all very happy.
We pray that she is happy and healthy. We pray that God will help provide us a way to the funds needed to bring her home. We give thanks for all the blessings each new day brings.

Spring Band Concert

Alex had his school's spring band concert. They sounded really good. Jenna and I really enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't to long which was nice since you have to sit on the hard bleachers and it was a really hot day.
He did a great job and I am very proud of him.

And The Winners Are!!

Janice Hogue and Natasha White. Jenna drew two names for the beautiful quilts this evening. We would like to thank everyone who bought chances. We raised $350.00 towards our adoption. We will be purchasing Jenna and Alex's passports with this money.

I had a great Mother's Day. It was full of pampering and relaxation. My kids were all great and my husband was very sweet. I'm very thankful this year to me the mom of 4 children. I love each child so much and would do anything for them. Even when they drive me crazy and make me worry to death, they are gifts from the heavens and I know as a women how blessed I am. Happy Mother's Day.

Not Much News

We had a nice weekend. I was off an extra two days spending time with my grandma while my parents were out of town. It was nice having some quite time to reflect and appreciate all that we have been blessed with.
We are now 4 weeks out from Adam's graduation! I can't believe it. He has grown up so fast and we are so proud of him.
Jenna was accepted into our second picks of schools. I'm glad for that. I was bummed she didn't get into the Brown school but we will just keep trying every year to get her in.
I just found out this morning that our orignal Log In Date (LID) for Jenna was finally matched, so if we had not switched to special needs we would have gotten a refferal on Friday, almost 3 years after having Jenna home. That is crazy to me! I'm so thankful God matched us with our baby girl, Jenna is an amazing blessing to our family. I know Leah Grace will be to.

Have a good week everyone!
