It's been a few weeks since my last update. We've been pretty busy the last few weeks. We had our friend's daughter's birthday party to go to. She was adopted about 6 months after Jenna and they are the same age. We cherish our friendship with the Hunter family. Caroline has been such a support to me over the years. The kids are so sweet, just like their parents. We love spending time with them.
We had a yardsale the weekend after Labor day. This was our first yard sale to raise money for Leah's adoption. We baked cookies and sold them for extra money. We got $200.00 in cookie sales and donations, the total yard sale help us raise $900.00. Jenna loved helping with the cookies. She sold over 50 cookies by herself. It's hard to say no to that little face, so she played that to her advantage! She loved telling everyone that her sister is waiting for her in China and that we are going to go get her next year.
My parents have decided to try and travel to China with us this time. We are excited about that. Jenna is thrilled to show her China to her nana and papa.
Jenna's dance class has started back up for the fall, she loves it. Her dance teacher has suggested we start her in compition dancing, so she will now be taking two classes a week. She is thrilled that she will be doing solo dancing, she loves to be the star. We are also going to be starting cheerleading and gymnastics, so Jenna is going to be a busy girl this winter.
On The Wings of Destiny
Somehow destiny comes into play. These children end up with you and you end up with them. We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands.
