On The Wings of Destiny

Somehow destiny comes into play. These children end up with you and you end up with them. We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands.

Well it looks like babies come out April 26th

I've been following rumor queen and several families have been informed by their agencies that April 26th will be the day for the new list of babies. Will Leah be on that list? We don't know but we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that we do get a call stating we have been matched. Jenna keeps saying over and over I just know momma that China mailed her picture this week and we will have it next week. I sure hope she is right. It's hard not to get your hopes up no matter how hard you try not to.
Time will tell and I will update as soon as we know anything.

Thanks to everyone who are starting to email me about buying chances for the blankets.

You can email me your information, name address and contact number and how many chances you want to either email address KOlges@aol.com or Kristie.Olges@wellpoint.com. You can pay by our donation button on the side of this blog or mail me a check at Kristie Olges 8209 Smithton Road Louisville KY, 40219

We will draw Sunday May 8th and I will contact the winners.

And here are some new pictures of Ms. Jenna

Blankets I will be raffeling Start Sunday $5.00 a chance

Here are the two blankets made by Launi's rag quilts. They are both soft and beautiful. Great for little ones and shower gifts.
I will be selling chances for $5.00 each. If you are interested please let me know.

Exciting events to help us raise money for Leah

I first of all want to say thank you to Launi's rag quilts, our cousin Missy and my sister Laurie for offering their talents to help raise money to bring Leah Grace home.

Adoption is a wonderful blessing, but is very costly for families. We had much more time to come up with money with our adoption with Jenna as you know it was the longest adoption in history, ha-ha. But with Leah's adoption we will only have had a year start to finish to come up with $30,000 which is very hard to do when you have three kids.
So we are asking for everyone's help to bring Leah Grace home.

Starting Easter Sunday and running for a week we will be selling chances for baby blankets donated by Launi's Rag Quilt. Each chance is $5.00 and we have two blankets she has donated. They are both beautiful. I will post pictures of them tonight. Thanks Launi. please feel free to check out her website. http://launisragquilts.wordpress.com/adopting/
We will do the drawing on Mother's Day Sunday May 8th.

In May our cousin Missy has offered to donate her talents by letting us have a hair bow party. Missy makes the cutest bows, flip flops and other girly items. She sales them at a great price. Half of the proceeds will be donated to help us bring Leah home. Thanks Missy! We will have more after Easter on the date, times and ways you can order.

Then in June my sister Laurie who is a massage therapist will be offering massages and the proceeds will help bring her niece Leah home. She is a great massage therapist and you will become hooked to her healing touch. We will have more information on this event coming soon.

We have a few more ideas to help raise money, possible tee-shirt sale, bake sale and yard sale all in the next 5 months.

Thank you to everyone who is trying to help us. We really appreciate it. Please feel free to pass out our blog information and my name to anyone that would like to help us bring our daughter home.

Blessings to everyone.

No babies this week

Talked to our agency last night and they have not been notified by China that the list is coming out today so maybe next Monday. We are bummed but hopeful. Maybe them taking a little longer the list will be bigger and we can be matched. If not then the next list should be May 23rd which is a month away but right now seems forever away. I know time flies by and it will be the end of May before we know it.
We are just so excited to see the face of our newest daughter and find out a little about her.

I will keep everyone posted as we find out more.

Have a great week everyone.

We Have a LID!

What is a LID, you may ask? It stands for Log in Date, the date China logs your paper work into their system. It's a must have to be considered for a baby when the list comes out.
Our date is April 11, 2011.
I really hope a big list comes out Monday or a baby with Tetrology of Fallot because we are the only ones who put in for that special need. If you don't know that is what Jenna's heart defect is and we are pretty table familiar with it, so we will be willing to take another little girl with the same condition.
We pray for you Leah  Grace and hope to see you sweet face very soon!

Need a Easter Miracle

Well we were so hoping that the Easter Bunny was going to be bringing us Ms. Leah Grace's picture instead of a bunch of candy. But it isn't looking hopeful at this point. I spoke to our agency and the special needs list that come out each month have been smaller then in the past so there is a few families in front of us in line waiting for a baby still. In other words we need a big list from China with quite a few minor special needs in order to be matched in April.
To say we are bummed is an understatement. We had this whole big Easter theme going on to surprise our family with Leah's picture on Easter Sunday. We bought Easter baskets and special frames to give everyone with all her information on it.
I know God is in control and knows which baby is meant to be our Leah, but I still think we have the right to be bummed! Jenna really wanted a sister for Easter this year. I haven't told her it may be longer now, I'm still praying for a Easter Miracle.
